CITB Construction Skills Grants
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
SHORT DURATION OFF-THE-JOB TRAINING
Short duration training grants are for construction related occupations only and cover a limited number of courses. Short duration training can be claimed for whole and half day courses. Employers can claim upto a maximum of of £5,0000 within the 2009/2010 grant year.
- Courses of one day or more - £31.00 a day per person - Training must be a minimum of 6 hours each day during normal working hours
- Half-day Courses - £15.50 per person - Must be 3 hours minimum and deal exclusively with health, safety and/or environment subjects
How to Claim
Submit a GC3/1 claim form on completion of the courses, this can be downloaded from www.cskills.org/grant
CPCS ACHIEVEMENT GRANTS FOR PLANT TRAINING FOR OPERATIVES
- CPCS Technical Test Theory Element - £90.00 for each category - can be claimed for passing the theory element of the CPCS Technical Test (A42)
- CPCS Technical Test Practical Element
A43A - £652.00 for each Category - A43B - £382.00 for each Category - A43C - £292.00 for each Category
How to Claim
Provide your CITB-ContructionSkills Levy & Grant registration number on achievement and a claim form will be sent to you
- NV Level 2 - £450.00 - Achievement of a VQ Level 2 in Plant Operations, Slinger Signaller, Demolition Operations, Piling Operation or Road Rail. This grant is only paid once for each of the above VQs (A31)
How to Claim
A claim form may be sent to you. If you do not receive one you must cliam manually on a GC1 which can be downloaded from www.cskills.org/grant
