National Water Hygiene Course:

Additional Information:

Health Screening
A standardised health screening questionnaire must be completed by any person required to work on restricted operations. This includes staff working on the water network, water treatment works, taking water quality samples etc, i.e. anyone that the water company considers could come in contact with treated water.

Answers on the form that suggest the individual maybe carrying a water borne disease will require the individual to be referred to their doctor or occupational health department for checks. The trainer will make the final decision on whether to allow the individual to carry out the training course. The individual must pass the health screening before they can be registered for the National Water Hygiene card and will not be issued a card until both the health screening and the test have been passed.

Who is this Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme for?

This Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme training course is for designed first line managers and those who have or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities. It provides an introduction to health, safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities.

The Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course:

To ensure that all those given supervisory responsibilities understand why they are carrying out their identified duties and what is expected of them when contributing to towards a safe working site. Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme - Refresher

SSSTS Refresher:

Candidates must take an SSSTS Refresher course before their existing certificate expires, otherwise the full SSSTS course will have to be taken again. The six month grace period that used to be in place ceased to exist from 1 January 2016.

Aim and Objectives:

This one-day course will reinforce and update your knowledge and understanding of your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. On successful completion of this refresher course candidates will be aware of and able to implement. all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affect their role as a supervisor new guidance and industry best practice affect-ed by changes their duties and responsibilities with regard to health, safety, welfare and the environment.

Who is the CCNSG Renewal course for?

The CCNSG Renewal Course is designed as a one day refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National Course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety passport expiry date. If it is not taken within the specified time then the two day CCNSG National Course will have to be retaken.
