The New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA)

Did you know that a company may NOT carry out streetworks unless its workforce is properly accredited?

C & G has been approved by City and Guilds to offer specialist training in streetworks for supervisors and operatives. All trainees who successfully complete the assessment will gain relevant qualifications and accreditation.

How you can benefit from C & G’s experience

C & G Services has been providing a comprehensive training service to the construction industry for many years. Our approach to training is designed to make learning enjoyable and satisfying, so trainees perform better and achieve better results. We use a highly participative approach, with practical demonstrations illustrated by PowerPoint and videos. There are group and individual exercises.

Qualifications and units

The Street Works (Qualifications of Supervisors and Operatives) Regulations 1992 detail the qualifications prescribed for various types and combinations of work. Each qualification is made up of a series of units. C & G Services provides training and assessments in all these units.

A person may act as a supervisor or trained operative only on the type of work for which they have the relevant qualification. A number of people with different qualifications may have to be involved during the progress of the work through its various stages. There is no limit to the number of qualifications that one person may hold.

Street Works Reassessment

Now available in Burton Upon Trent!

C&G Services are delighted to announce the availability of Street WorksReassessments in Burton Upon Trent.

This 2 day course has been specifically developed to assist both Operatives and Supervisors who are due to renew their Scotvec cards to achieve 1st time passes in the reassessments.

With a great many Operatives and Supervisors who have undertaken the original qualifications on their Streetworks Cards some years ago, coming back into a classroom environment and retaking the computerised reassessment is a daunting task.

C&G Services developed our own in-house course which brings the delegates upto speed with the changes both within the scope of their work and the legislative changes to help them be at ease when they are undertaking the reassessment. Its conducted in a relaxed manner and as a result by the time most candidates have then gone on to do the reaassessment, the pass rates have been phenomenal. On average we have seen around 100% pass rates as opposed to nearly 70% failure rate.

Please call for current costs.
