Company Focus

Every so often we'll be spotlighting new companies that we have started working with, this week its;

Marine Current Turbines, a Siemens Business

Matthew Reed of MCT came to C&G Services directly from our website after reading about our long standing capabilities with specialist lifting training courses. With our extensive experience within this area working and designing courses specifically for large customers like Airbus and Kuehne + Nagel, he naturally made the right choice!

This continues a legacy of C&G Services involvement in new technology supporting those companies at the cutting edge of technological development and power generation.

Our involvement was with SeaGen - MCT's new Tidal Technology and specifically with the process of using a crane for lifting from the platform (which you can just see in the picture on the right)

Planning the Delivery

One of our top trainers Steve Thorne went out to the Republic of Ireland to conduct an initial assessment of MCT's staff involved in the task. This allows our trainers to fully understand the individual capabilities of each member of the team, whether they be novice or experienced.

Following this, Steve has planned for the delivery of the training both on land for the novices and then finally on the rig itself when he is satisfied that the delegates have reached a competent and safe level to undertake the training 'at sea'.

We'll let you know how they all got on in due course...
