ISOOnce again C&G are pleased to announce another successful audit completed by our accreditation body, Bureau Veritas UK, with no issues raised, and confirmed, continued certification to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard.

The audit was thorough and fair, as always, with all objectives covered and which subsequently confirmed:

1. The management system conforms with all the requirements of the audit standard.
2. The organization has effectively implemented its planned arrangements.
3. The management system is capable of achieving the organization’s policies and objectives and evaluation of the ability of the management system to ensure the client organization meets applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.
4. If applicable, areas for potential improvement of the management system.
5. The certified management system conforms with requirements of to the standard, including, but not limited to:
a) internal audits and management review,
b) a review of actions taken on nonconformities identified during the previous audit,
c) treatment of complaints,
d) effectiveness of the management system with regard to achieving the certified client’s objectives,
e) progress of planned activities aimed at continual improvement,
f) continuing operational control,
g) review of any changes, and
h) use of marks and/or any other reference to certification.

The business world has changed radically since C&G first gained certification to ISO 9001 back in the 1990’s; technology has changed how we work, geographical boundaries are almost insignificant in today’s global economy, supply chains are increasingly complex and the information available has multiplied exponentially.

To ensure that C&G with their ISO 9001 certification continues to serve the business community and maintain its relevance in today’s market place, the standard has been revised to address changes in the business world.

One thing remains constant, to be successful, businesses have to adapt to meet the growing needs of customers. ISO 9001 was originally written with the customer in mind and that remains the priority for ISO 9001:2015, the version that C&G will be certified to by mid-2016.

C&G have always operated to higher levels than the base ISO 9001 standard requires with continual improvement and customer satisfaction key to maintain solid relationships with our many Blue Chip clients and Industry Accreditation bodies.

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. This helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

The key changes in the new standard are:

•The focus on risk management
•Emphasis on objectives measurement and change
•Communication and awareness
•Fewer prescriptive requirements

With the new standard in place, C&G will continue to incorporate their quality management system into their core business processes and realise greater business benefits.
