C&G Consult & Gettrained reaffirmed their “Skills for Stroud” accreditation, along with a longstanding commitment to supporting young people and bridging the gap between education and work with their recent work placement.
Chase Stokes, a Business Studies student from SGS College, joined the business for the week commencing 11th April and commented on his placement: “C&G has a very friendly atmosphere and I have really enjoyed my week working here. I’ve enjoyed being busy throughout the day and all the tasks I’ve been given have been explained clearly, with the appropriate support always available to me.
“I was also able to complete e-learning courses ranging from health and safety to data security. I was able to closely look at the impressive facilities they have, such as their training and testing centres and see how they trained and delivered their services to other people and businesses.
“Most importantly I was able to go away from my week’s work experience having learned about business administration and will be able to take that knowledge with me on to university and future employment.”
Director of Operations for C&G, Kevin Parsons, commented “C&G has always supported young people. It’s great to see talented and enthusiastic youngsters like Chase focusing early on about their careers beyond school or college and I hope his time with us has given him experience that will prove useful in whatever he chooses as a career. We all at C&G wish him every success in the future.”
