Who

This course is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. It provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities.

Aims

To ensure candidates understand why they are carrying out their duties, what is expected of them and to ensure that they contribute to the safety of the workplace.

Objectives

On successful completion of this training course candidate will understand the structure of health and safety law and their role. Carry out risk assessments, site inductions, tool box talks and monitor site activities effectively. Recognise the need for intervention when bad practice is identified.
