Anyone who in the course of their work are required to operate vacuum tankers in the normal course of their work

Vacuum Tankers Course:

To inform operators of legal requirements and administer practical assessments and tests for operators with and with out previous experience of vacuum tankers.
On completion of training, operators should have accepted knowledge of the legal and safety duties in relation to vacuum tankers. Operate the tanker in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines and code of practice.

  • Introduction to the vacuum tanker
  • Legal requirements
  • Identification of components
  • Visual check of tanker and equipment
  • Reporting defects
  • Relief valves – check for satisfactory operation
  • Vacuum/Pressure gauge – check for zero reading
  • Rear Door Clamps – check for condition and signs of misuse
  • Tank shell baffle – check thickness of sacrificial strip
  • Valves inlet & outlet – check for leaks
  • Sight glass – check sight glass for correct function & blockage
